Tesla Supercharger

ICC Collision Center likes to keep our customers up to date and informed.  Any of you that own an EV will find this information very helpful very soon as Tesla’s supercharger network is available.

Those of you who own a Tesla have always enjoyed the rapid recharging.  The supercharger network has always been available to only Tesla owners but will soon be extended to other EV’s!
On Thursday, CEO Elon Musk said “We are actually in talks with some manufacturers doing just that and it will be exciting to share that news”. This at a forum in Germany at a speaking engagement.  Musk added the only requirements are the EV can take a high power level charge (low-power level charging requires being left on charger too long thus reducing the number of charging stalls available until the charge was complete). The other requirement is the other manufacturers pay a proportionate fee for how much their vehicles use the network.
Musk would not comment as to which auto makers were talking to Tesla about using the network, all that was mentioned was it was a non-German European company and they had approached the automaker not too long ago.
During the forum Musk voiced his thoughts on the Volkswagen diesel emissions scandal before reporters in Belgium.  He was asked if the debacle would cause the masses to lose faith in green technology:
“Well, I think it’s more the opposite. What Volkswagen is really showing is that we’ve reached the limit of what’s possible with diesel and gasoline. The time has come to move to a new generation of technology.”
Good information and hopefully good news so for all of our EV customers.  ICC Collision Center will keep on top of this news and update as new information is available.  If you have any collision needs for most any type of vehicle ICC Collision Center can get you on the road fast.  Give us a call today and let us help you get your vehicle back to its original beauty!
